Do you love to DIY? How about DIY home decor? Then this is the post for you!! Today I have a super quick and easy Home Decor Project that costs less than $5.00 to make! Yes, you read that right less than $5.00 I just love quick and easy home decor projects. My name is Madge and I am an eclectically focused crafter! You can find me at Madge’s Scrappin’ Lounge sipping’ on a cold Diet Coke, listening to the 80’s crafting my life away almost any day of the week! I love all things crafty and I make love to make things pretty with glitter!
I would like to thank Colby for having me today! What an honor it is to be a guest designer for Love Joy Glitter! I am thrilled beyond measure to share with you this super quick but fun step-by-step tutorial on how to create a fun glitter home decor piece.
Here is what you will need.
As you can see I purchased my wood word from Target. It was in their Dollar Spot section for $3.00 I also have some quick dry Aleene’s Tacky Glue, a sponge and some pink glitter. (You will want to have a piece of cardboard or something down on your table to protect your surface. And you will also want to have the piece of cardboard or wrapping paper so you can fold it and scrape your glitter back into your bottle when done.
Step 1: Squirt your glue onto your wood word and use your sponge or paint brush to spread the glue evenly around the word.
Sprinkle your glitter over the word, be sure to sprinkle enough to cover the whole word. (remember you can fold your cardboard and scrape the glitter back into the bottle when done)
Shake it off, and spray with a quick coat of hairspray to seal the glitter to your word. And just like that you have a beautiful sparkle home decor piece. Less than $5.00 and under 10 minutes to make.
I hope that you enjoyed today’s project! Thank you so much for stopping in! I have created one more word using yellow glitter.
